Camp KidJam Internship Adventure:
Camp KidJam provides a unique experience for groups of elementary age kids and their leaders in many parts of the United States. As an intern, you will serve campers, leaders, and each other. In that service, we hope and pray that your relationship with Jesus Christ will grow and deepen in ways that will last a lifetime. You might run video equipment, audio equipment, stage equipment, provide security, assist in registration, assist speakers, lead recreation, and many other duties that will challenge you physically and spiritually. We believe in investing in you through leadership training that begins before camp, and relationships that will continue long after camp is over.

Warning:
As an intern, you will work hard, play hard, laugh, cry, lose sleep, learn, hear things you've never heard, worship like you've never done, and generally transform your mind, heart, and faith in ways that will change your life forever.

Qualifications:
You must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a servant's heart reflected in a willing attitude. Interns should also be actively involved in their church and must have completed 9th grade in the Spring of 2010. As an intern, you must be willing to raise support to cover your expenses. This can be done by support letters, and fundraising.

Interviews:
All applicants will have an interview, either by phone or in person. Interviews are normally handled within a few weeks of receiving your application.

Application Deadline:
Applications must be in the Camp KidJam office by April 15, 2011.

Camp KidJam will let all applicants know if they have been accepted to the internship by April 20, 2011.

Support Raising:
Each intern is required to raise $200 for each week they wish to participate in.* These funds are used to cover housing, meals, camp shirts, and transportation to and from each camp. Any amount raised above that will go back to the sponsor.

*If you want to intern at our Texas camps, there will be an additional fee to cover airfare.

Typical Duties:

  • Setup Jam Session rooms
  • Setup breakout rooms
  • Setup audio and video equipment
  • Greet groups as they arrive for camp
  • Lead tracks for campers
  • Lead recreation activities for campers
  • Run a video camera
  • Help with registration of campers
